Dr. Innocent

Claude A. Innocent, M.D. one of the co-owners of I and B Medical Associates was born in New York but grew up in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He attended the highly reputable catholic school: Institution Saint-Louis de Gonzague for middle and high school. He subsequently enrolled in the medical school of the State University of Haiti where he graduated with honors in 1995.

Dr. Innocent then moved to the United States and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester in New-Rochelle, New York with honors. At the end of his third year of training, due to his outstanding track record as a resident, he was chosen to be the chief resident of his program for an additional year. Immediately after, in August of 2000, Dr. Innocent took his board certification exam and became certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and in 2012 by the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.

Dr. Innocent is the vice-chief of medical staff and chairman of the credentialing committee at North Shore Medical Center and is well respected at Jackson North Medical Center. He is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at FIU H.W School of Medicine.

Although he treats all the various conditions that are in the realm of the Internal medicine practice, he is very dedicated to the treatment of hypertension, diabetes, obesity and their attendant complications.

Dr. Innocent is an avid learner who continues to update his skills, his knowledge, and his human comprehension for the benefit of the community he serves. He envisions a healthcare environment with a complete paradigm shift where patients are empowered to create and maintain the health they deserve.

Dr. Brezault

Alande Brezault, M.D. graduated with honors from State University School of Medicine and Pharmacy, in Haiti. He commenced a residency in Internal Medicine in 1997 at Harrisburg hospital, a highly reputable academic facility in Harrisburg, PA. In 2000, he graduated as “Top Resident” of his class, a distinction awarded for his academic achievements, outstanding bedside manners, andleadership role as a resident. As a resident he developed interest in Infectious diseases and authored a prize winning research study on Tuberculosis in Dauphin County. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and American Board of Medical Specialties.

In 2002, Dr. Brezault moved to South Florida and together with Dr. Alain Innocent started I&B Medical Associates. This medical practice quickly identified itself in the community as a leader in outpatient care, hospital medicine, long term care and palliative care. He also served as clinical instructor of medicine to medical students and podiatry residents. Dr. Brezault also has a great interest in legal Medicine and peer review process. He has served as medical expert witness in a number of cases. Dr. Brezault is very involved in local churches, youth, and academic activities. Dr. Brezault is also a member of the governing board at North Shore Hospital, an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at FIU H.W School of Medicine, and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Ross University. Dr. Brezault is a past Chairman of the Department of Medicine at North Shore Medical Center.

Dr. Brezault is fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Creole.
