Claude Alain Innocent MD FACP

Claude Alain Innocent, MD, is a double board-certified internal medicine physician at I & B Medical Associates, serving adults living in and around Miami, Florida, and throughout Miami-Dade County.

Dr. Innocent was born in New York but spent his childhood in Haiti. He began his professional pursuits at the State University of Haiti in Port-au-Prince, earning his medical degree and graduating with honors.

The following year, Dr. Innocent moved to the U.S. and completed an internal medicine residency at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital (formerly Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester) in New Rochelle, New York. He excelled in the program and was named chief resident in his final year.

When he isn’t meeting with patients at I & B Medical Associates, Dr. Innocent serves as an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine (HWCOM). He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM).

Dr. Innocent diagnoses and treats a wide range of acute and chronic health problems, but he has special interests in hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and their associated complications.
